Despite the rain, several hundred students from the University Of Texas School Of Architecture gathered at the Co-Op Crosswalk in Austin TX to charge across the street each time the “white knight of traffic safety appeared.” Students from each side of the road would do battle for a few seconds and then clear the cross walk to let traffic pass. Costuming was not required, but was welcome and encouraged. Small children’s foam swords were provided by the organizers. This has become a growing regular event that happens at the end of each semester.
