On March 30 2010, Battle Game Sports and Hobbies kicked off its Education and Exercise Campaign by donating copies of Battle Gaming: The New American Sport to Poudre School District middle schools.  The books sent to both Physical Education Departments (for staff) and Media Center (for students) are intended to introduce the sport of battle gaming into the academic setting.

The purpose of this campaign is to improve students exercise habits and to encourage them to investigate their own cultural history through the sport of battle gaming.

The sport of battle gaming is an extremely aerobic activity that involves all body parts to help students develop strength, balance, dexterity, and stamina. Battle gaming is a free flowing sport that tends to attract many young people who have traditionally shunned other organized sporting activities.

 

Additionally, battle gaming provides a forum for the discussion of historical cultures. We encourage educators to leverage the interest of young people in this sport as an opportunity to discuss ancient cultures throughout the world.

 

Battle Game Sports and Hobbies is currently negotiating educational pricing of both Mashoonga by Revel King and Forged Foam (Edhellen) product and expects to be able to offer these items at a 25% discount to schools and camps in the coming month along with discounted books that we publish.
